Welcome to The Hanawalt's

Sharon (Sha) & Larry Hanawalt

Welcome to our page and thanks for stopping by.  We have been so richly blessed in our time together since we first met on the internet a bit ago!  Both our lives have changed for the better and we thank our dear Heavenly Father each day we have together!  It's really hard bringing two families together, but we managed to do it!  Our children know that we love each of our children equally and we know that we both are important in each of children's lives.  Our children are pretty wide spread across the states so time with them is very precious and dear to us both!  Between us we have three children one son Billy, and two girls Jenn and Melissa.  We also have a granddaughter Laycie.

So much has changed since we first got together.  We had our house built, that was quite challenging but we're sure happy with our loving and caring home we now share.  We made sure to get a big enough house so our children, family and friends would be able to come and visit us, and we have sure enjoyed their visit's each time they have come!  We're still working on decorating the inside of the house, we have our yard landscaped and in order, now time to focus on the inside.  We do have 2 Bichon's (Ekko & Blyzerd) that help to occupy the home and they sure make life interesting and joyful for us!

Shortly after moving into our new home Sharon was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and ultimately after a long battle trying to juggle her stressful job, home and other activities she was forced to leave her job with AT&T.  That blindsided us both, since we were not expecting that to happen, and Sharon had planned on working till retirement age, but sometimes God has other plans for us and we have to adjust and allow him to guide us.  Sharon's MS gives her good and bad day's, but she's coping with it as best as she can.  Larry's job keeps him busy but he enjoys his job and the wonderful people he works with, which is a blessing!  He's working on his second retirement!  Larry retired from the U.S. Air Force after almost 21 years of service.  Of course he would love to be called back to active duty!

We both have become active in and supportive of MADD (Mother's Against Drunk Driving), Sharon lost her only sister Susan (Sue) Shy, and Larry lost his youngest brother Leslie (Les) Hanawalt to drunk drivers.  We each have our moments when we yearn for and miss our siblings very much, it is still very hard for us both to deal with at times, but we have each other to comfort each other and that really helps.  Larry and Sharon also have the love and support of Larry's sister Lois and brother Lance both of whom live in California.  We also have the love and support of our parents which is a blessing also.

We are enjoying our life together and look towards the future of "growing old" together now that we found our true soul mates.  We both look towards the day that we will be retired and have lots of time to spend with our hopeful many grandchildren, and our children also.  To all our dear and precious family we love and miss you all!  To all our friends, we love you all and are honored to be blessed with your friendship!
